WHEN & WHERE

When: Saturday, July 26, 2025 from
11AM - 4PM

Where: Third Space Chicago, 716 W Addison St.

Hopefully you've seen our flyer around the neighborhood! Our artist is Alex Antonijevic, a rising high school sophomore. If you see the flyer and you looked at a certain character whose visage is forbidden, let us know at the festival welcome table, and we'll give you a secret, special piece of swag.

Photos for the website were taken by Kevannah Berry at the 2023 festival.

APPLY TO TABLE

The tabling application for 2025 is now closed, if you applied please check your email! Accessibility info:

You must be at least 12 years old to able at New Expressions. There is an accessible elevator at our venue, Third Space Chicago, access to a kitchen sink for water, and a gender neutral bathroom. The venue unfortunately does not have air conditioning, but we will have fans to circulate as much cool air as possible.

Please note that library staff cannot help sell work or handle money, but you can do so on your own. We do not charge a tabling fee or any other fees. New Expressions is a safe space and will not accept submissions that discriminate against or cause harm to others. Please review our safer spaces policy below.

We welcome attendees of all ages, so if you will be bringing NSFW art plan to have clear signage indicating that your work is not for children, or careful table arrangement so it is not the first thing a child might see.

If if your application was not initially accepted you may be placed on a wait list.

If you have any questions please contact the Merlo Branch Library and speak with the teen librarian, or fill out the contact form below.
